On the 27th of May 2022, we celebrated 80 years of the military operation Anthropoid. Two soldiers that belonged to the Czechoslovakian exile army – Josef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš, executed the “assassination” of Reichsprotektor of Bohemia and Moravia Reinhard Heydrich. The act of these indescribably brave men caused many positive but also very horrific consequences. That is why we need to remind ourselves of historical moments such as this one. 

To remain this anniversary, we decided to build in the area of the company ZK Žerníček Kovovýroba a memorial. This memorial represents our entire respect for Gabčík and Kubiš, but also to the other brave ones who were part of the operation and became a victim of unescapable precocious death.

The participants at the opening of the memorial in Štíty were some of our employers, and the mayor of the city, … I would like to thank all the people who came to see the opening and gave respect to Czechoslovakian heroes of the second world war.
